IrieRadio 61 *James Brown Edition*

What's up world?!? After hearing Afrikaa Bambaataa on VladTV talking about the fact that there would be no Hip Hop without Mr Brown I decided to pay homage to James Brown with a mix of his greatest funk tracks combined with artists that sampled him. I tried to not pick the obvious songs so you might get encouraged to look for some more music of the legend. Enjoy episode 61 of IrieRadio, the champion sound!

Four Beat Juggle At The Same Time!

A DJ that I really look up to is Fong Fong (2012 DMC Online World Champ). He's youtube channel is filled with crazy turntablism video's. Very skillful scratches and editing. The video I made this week is my take on what he does. But instead of doing scratches I found a way to achieve the same effect with beat juggles. Since I'm a far better juggler than scratcher it was only right.
Enjoy!

52 video's in one year!

This year I decided to set the bar real high. I'm planning on uploading a new video every week on youtube. The content can be anything related to turntablism and music. Expect to see a mix of turntablism, video scratching, finger drumming, creative editing and more.

To start this project off correctly, I took Bill Hicks famous stand up piece "It's Just A Ride" wherein Bill (r.i.p.) reminds us all that life is just a ride and we should all enjoy it as long as we're in it. This is the exact reason I'm doing this project: I'm not going to be here forever, so I better get as much work done as possible. But never forget to enjoy it.

IDA 2014 Video Showcase

Check out my last routine during IDA 2014 in Krakow, Poland.

Big shout out to Popek Monster for recording the intro for me. Popek is a huge artist from Poland, so the Polish audience loved to see him being scratched up.
